MIAMI, FL – One person was trapped inside a car Saturday after crashing into a Miami-Dade County school.

The crash occurred shortly before 6 a.m. at NW 84 Street and 24 Avenue, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

“When the first unit arrived they found a vehicle into a building with one patient trapped,” said an agency spokesperson. “A technical rescue team was required to assist in the extrication of the patient that was heavily entrapped.”

The agency spokesperson said paramedics provided medical attention while the Technical Rescue Team worked to free the driver.

“Once the patient was removed from the vehicle, they were transported by air rescue to the trauma center in order to receive further medical care,” the agency said.
